Relay For Life

For the second year, Corinne took part in Relay For Life in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society. She was able to raise quite a bit this year! The evening began with a small ceremony, and then the survivors got to walk the first lap. Corinne was the smallest survivor last year, and was again this year. We thank God that she is a survivor and that we can take part in this event!

This was the survivor lap.

She walked several laps around the track.

Each year the survivors get to make a hand print on a banner.

Once it got dark, the track became lined with luminaries to honor those who have passed, those who are fighting their battle with cancer, and those who have won the battle.

  1. I loved reading your post tonight!! Our family has participated in the Relay for Life in the past while my dad battled his cancer. Today actually would have been his 63rd birthday! I am so happy Corinne is healthy and getting to participate in the relay! She is adorable!

  2. Oh, what a special day for you guys. I'm sure it's so hard not having him here.
Relay is a such a great way to honor loved ones who have lost their battle to cancer. Hopefully all the money raised can find a cure!

  3. Congratulations Corinne on being a cancer survivor! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see you next week.

On a side note, are Glen's shorts and Caleb's jacket the same plaid print? What a cute father/son duo they make!
