No more training wheels!

Glen decided to do away with Corinne and Caleb's training wheels one afternoon several weeks ago. The kids LOVE that they can ride fast now and family bike rides are much more fun!

School

We've been having school at our house on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this year. Next year Caleb will be in kindergarten and Corinne 1st grade so we'll do school everyday. Caleb will be doing the My Father's World Curriculum and we haven't decided on Corinne's yet. We've chosen our top choices, but I'm going to the christian homeschool
convention in June and will be able to actually look at the material which will help us decide.




Caleb is getting good at reading 3 letter words! In this game I say a word, he finds it and parks his truck beside it.

Corinne is doing lots of reading these days!




And so is Cal (on the potti!)




We got an any hill and have had fun watching them makes tunnels.
We love our school time!

Corinne and Caleb love to eat lunch outside! Corinne pretends she is a waitress while Caleb orders. (and she always makes sure he uses manners!)

Road trip...

We headed out for a road trip to MO several weeks ago to visit our good friends Jennifer and Todd.



While we were there we got to do an easter egg hunt....









Play at a fun park






Play with child sized sinks at an indoor Play place (Blake and Calvin probably played with these sinks for 20 minutes!)



We even got to have a night out without kids!!

We Also got to spend a morning with a good friend from college. It was so fun seeing Rachel and her two cute kiddos!

We tried to get a picture of Calvin and Lazarus at the park, but Calvin did't want to sit!



They had so much fun together!

We had a great time on the trip! We feel blessed to have such great friends!

Birthday girl!

Our beautiful five year old!
Hard to believe Corinne is five!
It seems like yesterday that we planned her 1st birthday party.

Corinne is such a loving, sensitive, smart little girl! At 5 Corinne.....

• loves playing the piano. She started lessons with me a few months ago and has even performed in a recital. She practices every day- more than once usually- and makes her mom and dad happy with the beautiful songs she makes up! (at least we think they are beautiful!)

•LOVES clothes and fashion. She doesn't care where the clothes come from (resales and garage sales!) but she insists on picking out her outfit each day. She usually ends up in leggings and a dress. Corinne is all girl and always has a big flower in her hair.

•spends half of her day at the kitchen table drawing and coloring. Corinne loves drawing girls in long beautiful gowns. She says she wants to be a fashion designer someday. I don't know where this comes from...her mama is lucky to look fashionable once a week!

• goes to ballet once a week and has so much fun!

•does school 3 times a week at home with Caleb. She loves learning and is reading well, writing a lot, and getting very good at addition! She's so fun to teach!

•makes friends easily and loves having play dates with her friends. Her and Caleb play very well together most of the time!

•loves to please! Sometimes she'll do all of her morning chores before she comes down in the morning just to surprise me!

•has made her mommy and daddy very proud!! We love our little girl so much (even though of course she says she's not little anymore!). We thank God for her every day and are so thankful that she is healthy!!

This one is gross I know.....He snuck upstairs, got the brush from under the cupboard and was scrubbing away when I found him!

PS...after I finished writing this I found him plunging the toilet! (Disgusting!!)
